Global music icon Marc Anthony, renowned for his chart-topping salsa hits and as a minority owner of the NFL's Miami Dolphins, is expanding his influence into sports ownership by becoming the owner of the new E1 Team Miami in the UIM E1 World Championship.

Anthony's team will debut at the first-ever E1 event in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, alongside teams owned by other global celebrities such as Tom Brady, Rafael Nadal, Steve Aoki, Sergio Perez, Didier Drogba, and Virat Kohli.

Expressing his fascination with all things nautical and recognizing water as the essence of life, Marc Anthony is excited to join forces with E1 to usher in a new era of competition and race excellence. He looks forward to a unique journey where passion is inherent, and winning is imperative.

In addition to participating in Season 1, Marc Anthony's company, Magnus, will host E1 in the United States for Season 2, with an anticipated event in Miami. This move is praised by Alejandro Agag, Chairman and Co-Founder of E1, as a positive sign for the championship's future, emphasizing the significance of bringing E1 to Miami for its U.S. debut.

Magnus, beyond contributing to thrilling races, plans to enhance the E1 experience by organizing a glamorous weekend, including the Acceleration Festival fan village and a star-studded concert. Felipe Pimiento, COO of Magnus, sees this venture as an exciting opportunity to blend cutting-edge technologies with established industries, offering top-notch sports entertainment while being environmentally conscious.

The alignment of E1's commitment to sustainable marine practices with Marc Anthony's dedication to preserving Miami's waters establishes him as a perfect fit for E1.

The championship's strategy in sports marketing is further emphasized by the addition of Marc Anthony to its roster of global icons. E1's CEO and Co-Founder, Rodi Basso, expresses confidence in Marc Anthony's drive for success and creativity, mirroring E1's commitment to driving change and improving marine environments. With up to 10 teams competing in the inaugural season, E1 is set to showcase equal opportunities by mandating mixed-gender pilot line-ups for each team.
